About Us
B&R Classics is a family-owned company founded in 2005 by Norman and Diana Barnes in Huntington, New York.
Chris Riley joined as the vice president of sales and marketing in 2008.
Norman and Diana are the "B" and Chris is the "R" in B&R Classics.

Norman had a remarkable career in the specialty food business. He worked at Campbell Soup Company and Kambly USA before serving as president and CEO of Walker’s Shortbread, Inc. for 12 years.
As chairwoman, Diana brings over 25 years of experience in the industry.

Today, B&R Classics is jointly led by Diana and Chris.
Diana works closely with Customer Service Manager Madiha Adeel and Logistics Manager Geoffrey Sorensen. Bibi Khan is our internal support person who handles AP/AR responsibilities.
As president, Chris continues to build the import business, working with a team of brokers nationwide to develop sales and distribution, and managing major direct accounts, supplier relationships, strategy, and marketing.

B&R Classics is a national fine food importer bringing the best of the world's cookies and confections to the United States. The management team has extensive experience in all aspects of importing, consumer goods marketing and retail distribution.
Among the services offered are:
Product Selection, Marketing and Brand Strategy
Advice and counsel is offered on which products are most appropriate to the US and how to market them. Assistance on label development and legal compliance are also provided.
Importing Logistics
The company is FDA registered and has USDA import certification. It is also registered for electronic customs pre-clearance. All aspects of managing the import of the products is available from plant or port pick up to final delivery at B&R warehouses or direct to customers. Forecasting and projections for production scheduling are supplied.
Distribution
VP Sales supervises and maintains a team of independent brokerage companies to provide national coverage with local contacts on a regional or trade class basis. Selected major accounts are managed on a direct basis. All classes of trade are covered including specialty, supermarkets, mass market, clubs, web, military, airlines, major gift basket packers and selected food service.
Marketing Support
Communication and sales materials are developed and produced in house to provide customer and press information. Products are exhibited at major trade shows including the two National Fancy Food Shows in New York City and San Francisco. They are also featured at key customer shows. Custom programs are developed on an annual basis to provide each customer with support and sell-through opportunities. Holiday programs feature seasonal products and advertising in customer catalogs.
