Introducing Majani Chocolates from Bologna, Italy
B&R Classics, the U.S. importer of fine European brands, is intoducing a new brand of chocolate treats to its portfolio in 2026: Majani is the oldest Italian chocolate factory, founded in Bologna in 1796, and has been in the hands of the family ever since. They produce chocolate starting from raw cocoa beans, following each stage of production, and treat more than 20 varieties of cocoa. This allows them, after more than two centuries, to always have unique and quality products, which create an ideal combination of tradition and innovation.
Majani’s mission: Carrying on the tradition of the first Italian chocolate, made with passion and care, using only the best raw materials and respecting centuries-old recipes.
Majani’s vision: To become the benchmark for luxury artisan chocolate, recognized for its authenticity and its ability to combine tradition and innovation.
Majani products will be available for the first time for Holiday 2026. Pre-book orders for all holiday shipments are due by May 27th to ensure we’ll have what customers are ordering. Orders will ship in September/October, as soon as our containers filled with fresh products arrive from Europe and the weather permits shipping chocolate.

Fiat
In 1911, Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino (FIAT) launched a competition for a confection to mark the launch of its latest model. Majani took up the challenge and invented its first four-layered Cremino chocolate (a nod to the car’s name, “Tipo 4”) to win.
Thus began the story of Cremino Fiat, a classic combination of creamy hazelnut and almond with cocoa mass for a new, heavenly marriage of flavors, as inimitable today as it was then.
Tortellino
A classic type of pasta of the Bolognese tradition, reinterpreted in a sweet way by Majani. Milk chocolate with milk cream, dark chocolate with cocoa cream, and white chocolate with milk cream.
Scorza
60% dark crumbly chocolate. The first solid chocolate created in Italy in 1832. (Since the Mayan civilization in 400-600 AD, chocolate had been consumed only as a beverage.)
